He has also been accused of using fake documents to draw pension from Mahakali Devi Secondary School, Lalitpur, according to Beni Bahadur KC, former principal of the school.
Meanwhile, two candidates from among the fifteen, who had applied for post, have boycotted the test for the post conducted on Tuesday after the Principal Selection Committee decided to allow Sharma to sit in the test.
“Everyone knows that Sharma has been misusing his authority. The committee´s decision to allow him to sit for the test is condemnable,” said Professor Keshav Prasad Poudel, former chief of the Kathmandu Education Campus after boycotting the exam.
After KC applied for the post, National Vigilance Centre on August 12 directed the Ministry of Education (MoE) to investigate charges against him. According to secretary at the Ministry of Education Suresh Man Shrestha, the ministry is investigating into accusations against KC.
“If found guilty, Sharma will not be allowed to assume the principal´s post,” said Shrestha.
The test is being conducted in two phases and the selection committee would interview the candidates in the second phase to select the suitable candidate, said Kamlesh Kumar Sinha, member secretary of the selection committee.
