Civil servants detained in Morang

BIRATNAGAR, July 20: More than 70 civil servants have been detained by the police in Morang on Wednesday.



The detainees were agitating against the recent salary hike by the government. [break]



The civil servants were planning to stage sit-in programs in front of Morang District Administration Office (DAO). All the employees have been detained in a sports hall.



The employees went to DAO with their demands and with an intention to close the office. Among the detainees 66 are male and 6 are female staffs.
