The case was filed at the Special Court after it was revealed that they had committed large-scale irregularities in the Social Security Fund.
CIAA files case against ex-VDC secretaries

According to the CIAA, they forged documents to provide social security allowances to 19 individuals who were underage and embezzled Rs 656,000.
The CIAA alleged that the former secretary and chairperson issued social security beneficiary identity cards and distributed social security allowances by ignoring the birth dates and citizenship issuance dates mentioned in the citizenship certificates. They categorized individuals as senior citizens and Dalit senior citizens, provided benefits to those without citizenship certificates as single women, and also included women married in India as single women.
Furthermore, the CIAA stated that dead individuals Pateshwari Singh Thakur, Muzafar Khan, Ram Sumaj Kurmi, Jalil Khan, and Ram Sewak Kurmi were also receiving the allowance. The CIAA’s petition also demands that the defendant, the former VDC secretary Sawit Ram Kurmi, be held accountable for the recovery of the embezzled amount.
