The CIAA took the decision upon the recommendation of the National Vigilance Center against them for not submitting their property details by the end of the fiscal year 2015/2016.According to CIAA Spokesperson Krishna Hari Pushkar, the commission has asked Sajha Yatayat's board of directors -- namely Chairman Dixit and directors Shankar Raj Joshi, Bandana Thapa, Bhusan Tuladhar, Rudra Paudel as well as Sajha's audit committee members Laxmi Ratna Bajracharya, Manohar Jee Rauniyar and Madhav Raj Ghimire to pay the fine. Likewise, the commission has asked for fines from 19 staffers at Sajha, including CEO Mahendra Raj Pandey.
"The commission has found that the Sajha Yatayat officials had not furnished their property details in previous years also. The commission has asked the Ministry of Physical Infrastructures and Transportation to take necessary actions," said Pushkar. "The act of not furnishing property details by the officials of Shajha Yatayat that has government shares of 71.82 percent is a serious issue," he added.
