KATHMANDU, Aug 22: Nepal Motion Picture Association, in coordination with three different Nepali organizations in the US, is geared toward organizing Popular Film Award in Chicago, Illinois.
Nepal Motion Picture Association organized a press meet on Monday at Buingal Lounge and Bar, Maitidevi, to inform about the event scheduled from August 31 to September 2. In the press meet, president of Nepal Motion Picture Association, Pradip Kumar Uday, revealed that the award function was a part of Nepali National Convention 2018.

He further elaborated, "The convention will feature discussion session focused on the promotion and development of Nepali film industry along with interactive sessions between actors, technicians, producers, and distributors from Nepal and Nepali residents in America."
The award ceremony has 15 categories. Actors Neer Shah, Bhuwan KC, Rekha Thapa, Anmol KC, Keki Adhikari, and Neeta Dhungana, among others, are anticipated to participate in the event. The convention will also see the various performances by Nepali artists.
