In the press release, the organizer states that it has become important that Nepali folk music and folk culture be not only researched and studied about but also introduce it to the rest of the world.[break]
Like its predecessor, the theme for this year’s festival is also ‘Music for Life, Music for Survival’.
The three day festival will be held at Sarvanam Theatre locaed in Kalikasthan. Folk music and culture of various countries have been captured in 135 documentaries, out of which 25 documentaries will be screened during the festival.
Along with five best films, ‘Audience Award Trophy’ will also be presented to the film that wins the vote of the audience.
This year, the festival will be screened at around 75 places all over the country.
