BoK re-launches ´M-PAISA´
KATHMANDU: Bank of Kathmandu (BoK) has relaunched its mobile banking service ´M-PAISA´ in association with Hello Paisa Network of Finaccess with attractive features and services. According to a press statement, the service has been relaunched with advanced technology that will enable customers to access informative and transactional banking services through secure and convenient medium. At present "M-PAISA" service can be availed by subscribers of NTC (GSM), Ncell and Smart telecom with free registration available at all BoK branches.
Under this service, customers can transfer funds to anyone at anytime, make payments to merchants on purchase of goods or services, check their account balance and receive mini statements of their last three transactions, recharge mobile PIN and pay telephone, post-paid mobile bills and also make payments for ADSL Internet bill using their mobile phone, the statement said. "Moreover, M-PAISA service also enables account to account fund transfer amongst its registered users maintaining accounts at any of the partner financial institutions of Hello Paisa," the statement said.
New offer on Castrol engine oil
KATHMANDU: Nepal Overseas Company has introduced a new scheme ´Best Buy Offer´ in Castrol Activ 4T -- the engine oil for two-wheelers -- in the domestic market. According to a press release issued on Wednesday, the Castrol Activ 4T will be available at Rs just 499 per liter down from original price of Rs 660 per liter. Similarly, the company has brought a new scheme on Castrol RX Diesel. "Consumers will get one liter RX Diesel free with every purchase of 15-liter pack and 250 ml castrol brake fluid while purchasing 10 liter of RX Diesel," said the statement.
NB Bank opens new branch
KATHMANDU: Nepal Bangladesh Bank has opened its 20th branch office in Dhunche of Rasuwa district. The branch office was jointly inaugurated by Chief District Officer of Rasuwa Basudev Ghimire and Indra Bahadur Thapa, a board director of the bank, according to a statement issued by the bank. The bank has also launched branchless banking service in Samudra Devi village development committee of Nuwakot district. The branchless banking outlet was inaugurated by Gyanendra Prasad Dhungana, CEO of the bank, on Tuesday.
