Brajesh Khanal releases second book ‘Junelee’

KATHMANDU, Feb 14: Writer Brajesh Khanal's new book is now available in the market. 'Junelee', which is the sequel to Khanal's first book 'Yayavar' published in 2011, was launched at Moksh in Jhamishel.

A short video made on the book was screened before the book launch. The video had Nisha Adhikari and Gaurav Pokhrel playing the characters of Dr Sepalika and Chirag.Khanal stated that the inspiration to write 'Junelee' came from his readers. "Many people told me after reading 'Yayavar' that what happened to Junelee was unfair and that the book didn't include things from her perspective," he said.

A short clip showing a lucky winner chosen by Book Hill, the publisher, receiving a signed copy of the book before the book was launched was also shown. At the event, eight other readers got a copy of the new book presented to them by Khanal and actor/director Bhuwan KC.

Writer Nayan Raj Pandey and journalist Rabindra Mishra also shared their thoughts about 'Junelee'. Mishra pointed out that even those who haven't read 'Yayavar' can enjoy the book with no trouble. He added that the book's simple language will enable readers to finish 'Junelee' in one sitting.
