While the incident is still under investigation, police suspect it could be a suicide. The locals had informed the police immediately after spotting the bodies on the bank of the river. [break]
"Our investigation is under way. The dead bodies have already been sent to the district headquarters for autopsy," said police inspector Govinda Jha.
He further added that it could be a case of suicide as Bal Kumari was pregnant. "His husband died two years ago and she had been living with her children. However, according to the locals, it could be a case of suicide as she became pregnant although she was a widow. "However, we will find out the truth," Jha said.
