Bodies of bus victims handed over to relatives

PARASI, July 16: The bodies of those killed in the Nawalparasi bus accident that took place on Sunday have been handed over to their relatives on Monday. Superintendent of Police Gyan Bikram Shah said 37 identified bodies were handed over to their relatives. Identity of two of the dead is yet to be ascertained.



 Meanwhile, identity of all three Nepalis killed in the accident has been ascertained. A total of 39 bodies, including 10 of women and a minor were recovered while dozen others have been feared missing in the Gandak canal, where the passenger bus fell into. It is said the ill-fated bus was carrying a total of 136 passengers. Most of the dead are residents of Maharajgunj, India.
