Whispers are getting louder that Amitabh Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra have been jointly appointed the new brand ambassadors of Incredible India. We told you how Big B was the top contender for the post after Aamir Khan’s exit.
While names of many Bollywood stars and sports personalities were doing the rounds, we hear, both Big B and PeeCee have been zeroed in for the role. The official announcement will be made next week.
Ex-ambassadors call for evaluating ambassadors’ performance
Aamir was the face of the campaign for the last 10 years. However, the actor’s association with the campaign was discontinued this January. Speculations were rife that he had been shown the door after his ‘intolerance’ comment – he stated that his wife Kiran Rao contemplated moving out of the country owing to the “disquiet” in India. However, the actor clarified that contrary to rumours, his Incredible India contract expired this year and hence he was no longer a part of the campaign.
