The army handed over the amount to the bank manager to deposit in the Fire Victims Relief Fund of the DDC Ilam.[break]
All the rank and file of the battalion had made contributions, said Battalion Commander Arunjung Thapa.
Earlier, 552 police personnel had donated Rs. 54,200 for the victims.
