6 killed in separate accidents

KATHMANDU, April 11: Six persons died and many others were wounded in separate incidents in different parts of the country.



Maiju Tamang, 64, was electrocuted and several others were hurt at Darkha VDC-4 in Dhading district after a short circuit in the village.



Rabin Tamang has sutained serious burn injuries in both legs. The injured are receiving treatment at the District Hosptial Dhading.



Likewise, helper of a tractor (Me 1 Ta 1293) Tilak Thakuri, 17, originally from Bardiya Mewalapur-4 died after the tractor touched a naked electric wire at Chisapani-2 in Ilam district.



Simialrly, Laxman Thakur, 80, of Raghunathpur-8 in Dhanusha district died in a fire that broke out from a butt which Thakur himself had thrown this morning.



Similarly, Kausalya Nepali, 75, of Pakhapani VDC-5 in Parbat district was burnt to death after a fire broke out last night.



Seven houses and nine cowsheds were also gutted to cinder in the incident.



Likewise, Dipendra Rai, 18, of Phedi-6 in Khotang district died by being struck in a lightning incident.



Nine others were hurt, police said.



Similarly, Laxmi Prasad Ghimire, 35, of Diyale VDC-7 in Okhaldhunga district also died of lightning strike on Wednesday, police said.
