4 road stretches to be widened Saturday

KATHMANDU, July 11: A meeting of authorities involved in the ongoing Kathmandu valley road expansion drive on Wednesday decided to widen four road stretches on Saturday.



The meeting, organized by the Kathmandu Valley Town Development Authority (KVTDA) and participated by representatives from the Kathmandu Metropolitan Traffic Police Division (KMTPD), the Department of Roads (DoR) and the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC), decided to bulldoze illegally-constructed physical structures along Baneshwor-Battisputali, Teku-Kuleshwor, Golfutar-Budhanilkantha and Tundaldevi-Thirabam roads by this weekend. “Of these four roads, our priority is Baneshwor-Battisputali stretch,” said Dr Bhaikaji Tiwari, Kathmandu district chief of KVTDA.
