BIRATNAGAR, March 12: Three people including two police personnel were killed in a truck-motorcycle collision in Saptari district.

The incident took place when a motorcycle, Ba 22 Pa 8557, heading to west collided head-on with a truck, Na 4 Kha 1430, coming from the opposite direction at Madhupatti-9 along the Mahendra Highway at the wee hours on Saturday, Eastern Regional Police Office, Biratnagar told Republica Online.
The deceased were being deployed to Area Police Office, Lahan for additional reinforcement from Eastern Regional Armed Police Battalion.
Similarly, a biker died after being hit by a west-bound tractor at Bhardaha-1. The deceased is Pappu Majhi, 29, of Bhardaha. He was riding pillion.
