29 injured in bus-tripper collision

BHAKTAPUR, June 24: As many as 29 people were injured, six of them seriously, when a bus and a tripper collided on the Araniko highway at Bhatedhikur on Sunday morning.



The bus (Na 2 Kha 1095) was heading towards Kathmandu from Banepa and the tripper (Ba 1 Kha 5477) towards Banepa from Kathmandu when they collided.[break]



Among those seriously injured in the accident, Kumar Koirala, Prem Singh and Srijana Khatri have been taken to the Kathmandu Medical College while Prem Lama, Nirmal Majhi and Hira Lama have been taken to the Dhulikhel Hospital for treatment.



The remaining injured people are undergoing treatment at the Bhaktapur Hospital, police said. The bus fell down from the road after the collision.
