KATHMANDU, June 19: Police have arrested an 18-year-old youth from Panchadev Binayak Municipality-2, Achaam, on the charge of raping a minor girl in a Chhaugoth (menstrual hut).
According to the District Police Office, Achaam, an 18-year-old adolescent boy, raped a 16-year-old girl living in a Chhaaugoth.

Santosh Pathak, deputy superintendent of police (DSP) of Achham, said that the 16-year-old girl fainted after the incident which happened when she had come out of the Chhaugoth to urinate around 2 o'clock on Tuesday night.
DSP Pathak said that after the girl was found unconscious in the Chhaugoth, she was immediately rescued and taken to a hospital where doctors confirmed that she had been raped. The victim then spoke about the crime in the process of an inquiry. Further investigation into the incident is underway.
