CHITWAN, April 17: At least 16 passengers have been injured when a truck hit the commuter bus at Tikauli of Bhaktapur along the East-West Highway this morning.

According to the information shared by the District Police Office Chitwan, the truck (Na 4 Kha 7574) knocked another truck (Na 4 Kha 1436) en route to Narayangarh from behind and the latter hit the bus (Na 5 Kha 2807) heading to Birgunj from Kathmandu.
Police confirmed that total 16 persons including bus driver, helper and passengers were injured in the accident. Among the injured, three are being treated in Bharatpur Hospital and 13 in Chitwan Medical College.The police have impounded both the trucks and arrested their drivers. RSS
