INARUWA, July 13: Some 12,000 children in Sunsari district are still out of school, according to a report of the District Education Office.

Lack of education, unemployment and poverty on the part of parents are some of the major reasons for the poor school enrollment rate of the children. Likewise, distant location of schools and poor government monitoring system are also forcing the students to remain out of the academic institutions.

Of the 125,000 students of the school age in the district, more than 12,000 were not enrolled in the schools, according to the Office. RSS
