KATHMANDU, Dec 12: As many as 10 people died in a jeep accident that took place in Jajarkot on Monday afternoon.
Deputy Mayor of Chhodagada Municipality, Chandra Bahadur Thapa, confirmed that the Bolero jeep with registration number Karnali Pradesh 001 Cha 0429 fell off the Mid Hill Highway. The jeep met with the accident at Bhirpati of Chhodagada Municipality-4 while travelling from Jeva to Leva.
Jajarkot jeep accident: Death toll reaches two
According to Thapa, nine people died on the spot while one passenger breathed his last while being taken to a hospital. Jeep driver Man Bahadur Raut from Bhagawati Mai-2 and Birendra KC from Bhagawati Mai-2 of Dailekh district were among the deceased.
Similarly, Deepak Adhikari, Ambar Bahadur Adhikari, Nainsara Adhikari, Jaikubara Budha and Ram Bahadur Budha from Khedagada Nagar-5 and Bir Bahadur Khatri from Khedagada Nagar-6 of Jajarkot district also died in the accident.
