Altogether eight teams including Gyanu Baba Higher Secondary School, Fishtail Academy, Nepal Police Club, New Diamond Academy, PLA Sports Club, Angels Heart, Tops Higher Secondary School and Far-western Region are participating in the tournament to be organized with technical support from Nepal Volleyball Association.
The top seven teams of the tournament will receive cash prizes of Rs 50,000, Rs 30,000, Rs 20,000, Rs 15,000, Rs 12,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively.
Sports fiesta for regional stadium in Dharan
DHARAN, Sept 21: A three-day sports fiesta began in Dharan on Monday. The fiesta has been organized for supporting the construction of a regional stadium here. A committee formed to initiate and lobby for the construction work organized a race on Monday morning.
Meanwhile, 10 artists from eastern Nepal highlighted the importance of stadium in their paintings. Likewise, local martial-art players demonstrated their art. The event ends on Wednesday.
