Veteran cinematographer Maskey is no more

Veteran cinematographer Baikunthaman Maskey has died at the age of 83. According to Puskar Lama, president of the Nepal Film Technical Association, the corona infection was confirmed on Sunday and he died on Friday while undergoing treatment at Nidan  Hospital.

His dead body was managed by the army because of the infection, said Lama. He had been undergoing dialysis for seven years as he had a chronic kidney disease.

Maskey had a diploma in cinematography from the Indian Film Technical School in Pune in the 1960s. Maskey had worked  for films such as ‘Maanko Badha’, ‘Parivartan’, ‘Hijo Aja Bholi’ among others.
