Two murder suspects held

KATHMANDU, May 23: The Metropolitan Police Crime Division, Hanumandhoka on Thursday arrested two men for their suspected involvement in the murder of Suntali Maya Tamang, 42 of Saptari. Suntali Maya was found murdered in a jungle at Chiseni-8, Budhanilkantha, on Monday evening.



The arrested have been identified as Armed Police Force personnel Krishna Bahadur Baram, 25, and Purna Bahadur Baram, 26, of Asruarbang, Gorkha. Purna Bahadur is learnt to have been working for a leather factory. According to preliminary investigation, the two murdered the Suntali Maya following a dispute over a financial deal. The police suspects that the two had illicit relationship with the woman. Suntali Maya had been living with her second husband, who works as a security guard, at Teaching Hospital Maharajgunj.
