According to Chairman of the Civil Society, Babu Lal Tamang, the snowfall was occurred last night in the district headquarters after six years and transport services have been obstructed along the road section following the snowfall. [break]
It is said that transport services will be resumed from the evening if weather is improved. Hundreds of passengers have been stranded at the road section due to transport obstruction due to the snowfall.
However, farmers have expressed happiness as winter crops would be improved because the snow works both as fertilizer and irrigation for crops in the mountainous area.
