KATHMANDU, April 2: Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security Deepak Kumar Sah pledged to organize a skills fair in all seven provinces through the ministry within a year.
In a press meet at the ministry on Wednesday, he shared the ministry's plan of actions which includes commencing the skills fair from Janakpur soon and then conducting the same in the remaining provinces within a year.

The ministry has set a target to create employment opportunities within the country in a way to engage competent human resources for the nation's prosperity, Minister Sah shared.
"Producing skilled human resources is a pressing need." The ministry does not have adequate resources to host the fair. However, we are planning to adopt the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) model. We will work with the private sector to mobilize the CSR fund for fairs."
Likewise, the ministry is making groundwork to sign labor permits with an additional five countries, he said.
Minister Sah further stated that the ministry will monitor the laborers' workspaces to ensure they are safe and well-managed, and will hold accountable those responsible for any labor exploitation that is established.
