KATHMANDU, Nov 8: Acting on a contempt of court case, the Supreme Court (SC) on Tuesday summoned the suspended Chief Commissioner at the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA), Lokman Singh Karki.
A single bench of Justice Ananda Mohan Bhattarai ordered Karki to be present before the court in person within seven days with a clarification on why he obstructed the process of delivering the court’s notice.
Advocate Om Prasad Aryal had moved the apex court demanding an action against Karki, his son-in-law Prabal Thapa and others for obstructing the process of serving the court’s notice.
