A central committee meeting of the party held at Chairman Kamal Thapa's residence at Bishalnagar had reached the conclusion to stay away from the remaining process of the CA. With the RPP-N shunning the process, the numbers of political parties quitting the CA deliberations have reached 11 with 82 lawmakers, including one independent CA member.

Locals warn of boycotting polls unless they get compensation
All major Madhesh-based political parties including Federal Socialist Party Nepal and Madhesh Peoples Right Forum Democratic - the fifth and sixth largest parties in the CA respectively - have already boycotted the process.
Bhakta Bahadur BK was the last lawmaker of RPP-N to participate in the CA process on Wednesday. While tabling his amendment proposal in the CA meeting, BK said that he was just completing formality even though it was meaningless amidst the boycott of various political parties.
Meanwhile, lawmakers have urged the major political parties to settle the current crisis through talks with the agitating political parties. Tabling his amendment proposal on constitution bill, Nepali Congress (NC) lawmaker Shekhar Koirala suggested holding dialogues with Madheshi, Tharu, Dalit and other disgruntled leaders for settling the existing crisis.
While tabling the amendment proposal in the CA full House on Wednesday, Surendra Jaisawal, Satya Narayan Bhagat, Daljit BK Sripaili, Anita Pariyar and Shyam Kumar Shrestha of UCPN (Maoist) also insisted for settling the ongoing protest in various Tarai districts through talks.
Chitra Bahadur KC and Meena Pun of Rastriya Janamorcha, Parshu Ram Tamang and Anandi Panta of Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Jayadev Joshi of CPN-Samyukta, Prem Suwal and Dilli Prasad Kafle among others tabled their amendment proposals in the CA meeting on Wednesday.
The task of tabling the amendment proposals is set to conclude on Thursday. Since then, article-wise deliberations on the final draft of the new constitution will start.
