KATHMANDU, July 27: A prisoner of the Central Jail fled from Bir Hospital on Wednesday evading two cops assigned to guard him.
Dandy Lama, 30, who has been serving a jail term at the Central Jail from 2009 for attempted murder, was taken to Bir Hospital for treatment at around 2pm. [break]
DSP Shyam Prasad Paudel, the security chief of the Central Jail, said, "The two cops--senior constable Hari Krishna Avasthi and Constable Tritha Oli--have been arrested for investigation."
Paudel said that only investigation would reveal how Lama managed to escape.
