KATHMANDU, March 8: The Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) has stated that a westerly low-pressure system is partially influencing the country. Currently, partly to generally cloudy weather prevails in the hilly regions, while the rest of the country has mostly clear skies.
The MFD has said scattered to light rainfall in a few places across the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces.
This afternoon, the hilly regions of Koshi Province will remain partly to generally cloudy, while the hilly areas of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces will experience partly cloudy conditions. The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to mostly clear weather.
A few places in the high hills and mountainous regions of the Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces may receive light snowfall. Additionally, some areas in the hilly regions of Koshi Province could experience light rainfall with thunder and lightning.
Tonight, the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces will remain partly cloudy, while the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to mostly clear weather. Light snowfall may also occur in a few places in the high hills and mountainous regions of the Koshi and Gandaki provinces.
The MFD has also warned of light snowfall in some areas of the high hills and mountainous regions of the Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, along with light rainfall and thunderstorms in a few hilly areas of Koshi Province. The MFD has urged people to take necessary precautions as these weather conditions could partially impact daily life, health, road travel, and air transportation.
