NC’s Mohan Acharya elected as HoR member from Rasuwa

KATHMANDU, March 6: Nepali Congress (NC) candidate Mohan Acharya has been elected from Rasuwa in the House of Representatives election, according to the latest election reports.



According to the Election Commission, Acharya secured 10,656 votes to win the seat, maintaining a lead since the beginning of the vote count.

His closest rival, Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) candidate Basanta Bhatta, secured 5,571 votes.


This marks Acharya’s third victory. He was previously elected to the HoR from Rasuwa in the 2017 and 2022 elections.


In the voting held on Thursday, Rasuwa recorded a turnout of 60.61 percent, with 25,136 votes cast. The district has a total of 41,471 registered voters.
