The zombies, regular and scary looking but with the capability to run fast, are introduced to us right at the beginning of the film. As chaos breaks loose, Gerry manages to bring his family to safety on a UN ship in the Atlantic Ocean. As a former member of the United Nations, Gerry is thought to be equipped to accompany Andrew Fassbach, who might be their only chance of getting past the nightmare, to South Korea.[break]
However, after Fassbach accidently shoots himself, Gerry finds himself on his way to Israel which is the only country that has prepared for the invasion of the zombies.
Much of the film is shrouded in darkness and the viewers will have to squint their eyes in order to catch the action. The film seems on track before intermission, but the second half has been prepared with predictable scenes. It even has a funny but out of place moment where Gerry takes a break from fighting zombies to sip a soda.
The film left an unanswered question; why did some of the bitten people not turn to zombies?
As it ends, we see that the zombies, though not eradicated, are nearly not as invincible as they first appear. Watch if you enjoy zombie flicks, or have an afternoon to spare.
