Media houses protest power cuts

DADELDHURA, Jan 27: Media houses in Dadeldhura have protested the long load-shedding symbolically by halting their services.



All the newspapers being published from the district will not hit the newsstands for Friday and Saturday to protest the power cuts while FM stations halted the broadcasting services for two hours on Friday morning.



Editor of Hill Times Daily, Chhatra Saud, said newspapers have been closed till Saturday.



A joint meeting of publishers, editors and managers of media houses in the district announced the protest programs by demanding an end to the load-shedding.



The district has three radios, and five daily and four weekly newspapers.
