KATHMANDU, Feb 21: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) Mayor Balendra Shah (Balen) has urged Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to provide a basis for living as a Nepali.
Writing on social media on Friday, Mayor Shah said that others have begun calling Nepalis as beggars and urged PM Oli to provide a basis for living as a Nepali.
Mayor Shah wrote, “Dear Prime Minister, America has called us corrupted, India has called us beggars, China does not respect us, forget that I am a mayor, Will you just give us a basis to live as a Nepali?”

At a press conference held at Mar-a-Lago, Florida, last Tuesday, Trump announced that $39 million (about Rs 5.43 billion) had been withheld from Nepal, including $20 million for fiscal federalism and $19 million for biodiversity conservation.
