Lawmaker proposes 35 amendments to Nepal Citizenship Bill

KATHMANDU, Feb 21: Lawmakers from different parties have proposed 35 amendments to the Nepal Citizenship Bill 2081. The Federal Parliament Secretariat confirmed that a total of 35 amendment proposals were registered by 2 pm on Thursday.

According to the secretariat, amendment proposals include nine joint proposals and 26 individual proposals. UML lawmakers have registered three joint proposals.

Nepali Congress MPs have registered one joint proposal, CPN (Unified Socialist) MPs have registered three while Maoist MPs and Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) MPs have registered one each.
