Representative of the Nepal Kidney Society, Ramesh Chalise, said that they were compelled to launch the relay hunger strike as problems of kidney patients were not listened to even if the Society had frequently familiarized Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai, President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav and Health Minister Rajendra Mahato about the problems of the victims.

Now, around 27,000 people are suffering from one or the other type of kidney diseases in Nepal.
