Janmorcha demands investigation into attack on Koirala

KATHMANDU, Oct 4: The Janamorcha Nepal has condemned the recent attack on President of the Nepali Congress (NC) Sushil Koirala and demanded impartial investigation into it.



A meeting of the party held on Thursday came to the conclusion that the attack on Koirala was pre-planned politically and demanded that investigation into the case should be carried out impartially and effectively, according to General Secretary of the party, Sadhya Bahadur Bhandari.[break]



Stating that serious attention of his party has been drawn towards the notion of holding election to the Constituent Assembly (CA) again among the major political parties of the country, he said the meeting also demanded that the remaining works of constitution writing should be concluded through a constitutional commission of experts to be formed by the parliament.



The meeting also demanded that a national consensus government be formed at the earliest and the date of the general election be fixed.



Likewise, the party also demanded with the government to take action against Chairman of the Terai Madhesh Loktantrik Party, Mahantha Thakur on the charge of treason as per the constitution and law for his statement against national integrity.



The meeting also demanded with the government to address the demand of the people of Pokhara for construction an international airport.
