J-League side Sagan donates Jersey

KATHMANDU, Aug 12: Japan's premier division club Sagan Tosu FC on Wednesday donated 1,000 jerseys to the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) for distribution to victims of April 25 earthquake.



Executive officer of the Club, Takatuki Nagai handed over the jerseys to Ganesh Thapa, the president of ANFA, at the latter's office in Satdobato.

"The earthquake has deprived children from their rights of playing. The Club wants to contribute in erasing the bitter memory of earthquake with the donations," Nagai said speaking with the help of interpreter.


He also added that he saw the training of Nepal's age group team's for U-19 SAFF and he would initiate to bring the club's U-19 team for a friendly. ANFA gifted Nagai a statute of Lord Buddha as token of love and thanked him for the support.
