PM to seek Indian support for cricket stadium
KATHMANDU, Aug 17: Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal will be asking India to help construct the Mulpani Cricket Stadium. Nepal is leaving for India on Tuesday.
Nepal will be requesting Rs 10 million for the construction. Previously, ICC´s plan of constructing Central Academy in Mulpani just faded away.
Cricket Association Nepal President Binaya Kumar Pandey revealed that the prime minister will make a help proposal to India.
Ministry calls NSC staff to talks
KATHMANDU, Aug 17: The Ministry of Youth and Sports on Monday formed a dialog committee to hold talks with the National Sports Council (NSC) Contract Employees Struggle Committee. The struggle committee had padlocked the main entrance of the NSC putting forward five-point demand including extension of contracts of the employees.
The three-member talks committee has the ministry´s joint secretary Gorakh Bahadur Singh as coordinator and NSC member secretary Bishnu Prasad Lamsal and NSC administration department chief Kul Bahadur Thapa as members.
The ministry has asked the struggle committee to sit for talks on Wednesday. The struggle committee has decided on continuing talks and padlocking side by side.
