Govt committed to protecting human rights: Minister Karna

BIRGUNJ, Sept 30: Minister without portfolio Laxman Lal Karna said the government is committed to respect and protect the human rights.



He was speaking at a welcome and felicitation program organized by Human Welfare Community Center, Parsa here on Tuesday. He urged all to help the government from their respective capacities for the ending of the existing impunity and long-lasting development of the nation. [break]



Speaking at the same program, Minister of State for Agriculture and Cooperatives Karima Begam stressed on the need to bring the suppressed, exploited, marginalized and backward communities into the mainstream of the nation´s development. The budget allocated for the development of village should be totally utilized, she said, adding, the ministry is always attempting to provide subsidized fertilizer, improved seeds and small irrigation facility to the poor farmers.



During the program, the organizing committee feted the minister duo by offering shawls.



Surendra Prasad Kurmi of Sadhbhawana Party and Gokul Prasad Kurmi of Rastriya Prajatantra Party were also among those speaking in the program chaired by center´s chairman Ram Rajya Yadav.
