The parties boycotted the meeting stating that their views were not reflected in the agreement reached by the four major political parties on the contentious issues of the new constitution.The meeting of the CA today continues to discuss on the report of the CA Constitutional Political Dialogue and Consensus Committee.
Earlier, RPP Nepal's Kunti Shahi accused the four party leaders of coming up with a draft of the constitution that would suit only their personal interests. She also accused the government of suppressing the demonstrations taking place in various parts of the country and thus violating the citizen's constitutional right to a peaceful demonstration.
CA member Nar Singh Chaudhary of Sadbhawana Party said they were forced to resort to the boycott as the proposed draft does not reflect the sentiments of all regions and communities. RSS
