Dahal seeks supportive role of NRN for election

DAHAL, Oct 22: UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said the role of Non-Resident Nepalis (NRNs) is very important to make the upcoming Constituent Assembly (CA) election successful.



During his meeting with a delegation of NRNs close to the UCPN (M) at the party´s central office at Parisdanda on Tuesday, Dahal urged the delegation to fully support the government for holding the second CA election which is for the interests of the nation and the Nepali people. [break]



"Political stability and economic progress is essential to take the nation ahead," he said, claiming, "Making the country prosperous and people wealthy is the top priority of my party."



"Atmosphere is being created nationwide in favour of the UCPN (M) in view of the upcoming election," he said and expressed his hope that the party would get support and cooperation from the entire NRN community for the election.



"One time Nepali is always a Nepali," he said, and added his party has come up with a concrete policy about the NRNs in its election manifesto.



He urged the NRNs to use their skills and knowledge in the nation building campaign and think, as to what we gave to the nation and did for the sake of our motherland.



The former Prime Minister further said there will be no need for Nepalis to go abroad for job opportunities if the nation is made politically stable and economically stronger.

NRNA Middle East representative Chandra Roka and Arun Shrestha (Japan) were among those present in the delegation.



Party foreign department chief Dinanath Sharma urged NRNs to give priority to the interests of motherland and work accordingly.
