“From October 7, a new chapter will start in the nation,” he said at a press meet organized by the Maoist-affiliated Magarat State Committee in Tansen, Palpa. “There is a possibility of agreement [between the major political parties].”
The chairman of the country´s largest party said the dialogues with other political parties to find a solution to the current political deadlock were likely to bear fruit.
“I have seen signs of consensus among the parties,” he added. “If everything turns out right, parliament will proceed smoothly after the festival.”

The Maoists have been disrupting parliamentary proceedings in protest against the President´s move preventing the then Maoist-led government from dismissing the then army chief.
Dahal, who was on his way to Rolpa from Pokhara, said there was no alternative to peace, dialogue and consensus.
He warned that the country would plunge into a big crisis if no consensus was reached by October 7.
“What if there is no agreement even after Dashain?” He said, “NC and the UML have no answer to this question; only we and the people have the answers.”
He said the constitution-making process was in the shadow due to the failure of the so-called big parties like the NC and UML to change. He also said that the leaders of the NC and UML have now realized their mistake.
It was Dahal´s first trip to Palpa in 30 years. He visited Srinagar Park, Dhawal Library and Palpa Palace.
