KATHMANDU, Sept 19: When the political parties are busy in parleys on either to revive Constituent Assembly (CA) or opt for fresh election, Prime Minister´s political advisor Devendra Paudel revealed that the government was preparing for new CA poll on March/April.
Speaking at a program organized by Reporters´ Club on Wednesday, Paudel said," The present government should be allowed to continue if parties opt for CA poll on March/April. But if parties wrangle for new leadership, the new CA poll is not possible in March/April."[break]
Paudel claimed that new government is not possible owing to intra-party rift in Nepali Congress (NC). NC can lead the new government only the dispute issues in the constitution drafting process are settled, Paudel added.
Demanding the PM´s resignation, UML leader Bidhya Devi Bhandari in the same program said parties should opt for new CA polls while NC leader Dilendra Badu demanded his party´s leadership to hold new CA poll.
