Women get retailer training from Coca-Cola
KATHMANDU: Coca-Cola Nepal has held the second session of its the STAR (Shopkeeper Training and Resources) retailer training on Thursday.
According to a statement from the company, more than 30 women retailers participated in the sessions which concentrated on two modules -- ´Understanding My Market´ and ´Marketing My Business´.
Coca-Cola Nepal started the ´Parivartan´ retailer training program for Nepali women in March to mark International Women´s Day 2013 under the commitment of Coca-Cola Company to empower 5 million women globally by 2020.
The ´5 BY 20´ program is focused on driving women empowerment through entrepreneurship for inclusive growth, Coca-Cola Nepal said. "The program´s key focus is to build capability and provide women with access to resources, these being some of the key barriers that women face toward economic empowerment," it added.
