A work of the renowned gynecologist and a highly regarded lyricist, Dr. Bhola Rijal, his new album titled “Mero Desh” was released under the banner of Music Nepal, and it includes songs that also plead for the drafting Nepal’s new Constitution.[break]
Though Dr. Rijal was not present at the launch program, several music artistes and respectable personalities graced the event. Musician Shuba Bahadur Sunam and film director Narayan Puri were among the several people who jointly launched the album.
The album was scheduled to be released before May 28, which was the previous deadline for the completion of the said Constitution; which was why the event took place without the songwriter who is currently in London for his personal reasons.
The program started with the screening of some music videos from the set which was later followed by a panel of special guests expressing their views on Dr. Rijal’s work.
The album is a set of eight songs full of patriotism and persuasion to bring about changes. The videos also have captured the crises in the country very well, and have been directed to encourage citizens to take a stand against the chaos and instability caused by the country’s breakdown in politics.

The songs of the album are written by Dr. Rijal and the singles have been set to music by a list of ace composers such as Suresh Adhikari, Manohar Sunam, Narahari Premi, and the brother duo Satya/Swaroop Raj Acharya who have also sung the title track. Similarly, the other singers who have contributed to the album are Shishir Yogi, Reema Gurung, Pramod Kharel, and Hemanta Sharma.
“Suna Suna Saathi” is one song whose music has been directed by Dr. Rijal himself.
