Kalpana Pariyar aka Kalpana Limbu (33) and Jeet Bahadur Darji aka Krishna (42) were arrested on Tuesday in connection with the trafficking of the two Nepali. Kalpana was arrested from Pokhara while Jeet was arrested from Kapan in the north-eastern outskirts of Kathmandu.
The duo had lured their mother-in-law and the other woman promising them of well-paid domestic job in Saudi Arabia. However, the two Nepali women were sent from Saudi Arabia to New Delhi after they were found living in the Gulf country with fake documents.
In the Indian capital, the victims were sold for Rs 100,000 each to traffickers, who handed them to the diplomat working for New Delhi-based Saudi Arabia embassy. They were held captive at a sophisticated apartment in Gurgaun for more than three months. The victims were tortured and sexually abused at the apartment.
The women told police after they were rescued on September 7 that the diplomat repeatedly raped and tortured them. Some friends of the diplomat also came to the apartment to be massaged and to rape the women.
