31st World Elephant Polo competition begins

NEPALGUNJ, Nov. 26: The 31st World Elephant Polo Competition has kicked off in Thakurdwara of Bardia on Monday.



Eight teams of six different countries are participating in the competition.



Chairperson of Elephant Polo Christine Albert inaugurated the competition by throwing the ball into the ground.



One team each from Switzerland, Mongolia, Nepal Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan and three from the UK are taking part in the competition.



Manager of Bardia Tiger Tops Nitesh KC said that the knockout competition would continue till November 29.
