3 killed in separate vehicle accidents in Makawanpur

HETAUDA, Aug 13: Three people died in separate vehicular accidents in Makawanpur district on Thursday morning.

Twenty-five-year-old driver Rajesh Lama of Thaha Municipality-11 and co-driver Kumar Bal of Thaha Municipality-10 died on the spot when their truck ferrying rice met with an accident at Thaha Municipality-9 along the Tribhuvan Rajpath this morning.


The ill-fated truck with the registration no., Na 3 Kha 9893, skidded off the road and fell some 1000 meters down the road, said District Police Office Makawanpur.

Similarly, an Indian national Nanak Sahani, 45, currently staying in Hetauda-1, died when a truck and a jeep collided head-on in Hetauda Municipality-11 Nawalpur.

The driver Dinesh Tharu, 29, of Rupandehi was seriously injured in the incident. He is undergoing treatment at Churehil Hospital based in Hetauda.

According to police, Bolero jeep (with sticker ONTEST) coming to Hetauda from Bhairahawa and a truck, Na 2 Kha 9515, heading to Chitwan from Hetauda had collided head-on this morning.
