Prime minister inaugurates Nepal International Trade Fair

KATHMANDU, March 9: Prime Minister K P Oli Thursday inaugurated the 7th Nepal International Trade Fair at the Bhrikuti Mandap Exhibition Hall in Kathmandu.

SIRAHA, March 9:  There is a small village to the south-east of Siraha Municipality known as Sukhchaina. To the west of this village lies Muslim settlements called Nawatoli and Madar while Dhanuk Tole is to the north of the village. The southern part of it is attached with the Indian border. In the middle of these settlements runs the Rishi Brick Factory.

Govt revises down growth forecast to 6 pc

KATHMANDU, March 8: The government has revised down the economic growth forecast to 6 percent for the current fiscal year 2017/18 from the previous economic growth target of 7.2 percent. Releasing the mid-term review report of the budget for the current fiscal year, the Ministry of Finance lowered the growth forecast by 1.2 percentage points to 6 percent for the current fiscal year.

KATHMANDU, March 8: Facing a huge mismatch of financial resources in the implementation of budget for the current fiscal year, the government has announced a raft of belt-tightening measures.
