Wedding, Children expos begin Thursday

KATHMANDU, Jan 11: A four-day event featuring the 6th Wedding & Gift Expo-2012 and the 5th Children Expo-2012 is all set to kick off at Bhrikutimandap in the capital on Thursday. Organized by event management company Direction Nepal, the two expos will continue till January 15.

According to Suman Maharjan, event coordinator for the two expos, the event has been diligently and innovatively conceptualized to cater to ever-growing need of comprehensive solution for wedding ceremonies.[break]

Wedding & Gift Expo-2012 will have 80 stalls displaying an entire range of wedding related products and services like shirting & suiting, catering, music band, flower and decorators, furniture, boutique, greeting cards, perfumes, jewelry, exclusive gift items, ritual accessories, among others.

During the expo, entertaining side events like bridal fashion show, bridal make-up, photo exhibition of famous weddings, photo shoot, free Mehendi and talk program focusing on the wedding ceremony and its importance will also be conducted.

The expo will offer counseling service for those who are planning to tie the nuptial knot in the near future and will also arrange a priest for the wedding.

According to Direction Nepal, it will make arrangement for the couples who want to celebrate their golden jubilee during the event and will felicitate them as well.

Similarly, the 5th Children Expo-2012 will have around 70 stalls, which will display various products and services for children. For the expo, visitors will have to pay an entry fee of Rs 25.
